Funding Programme: ERASMUS-EDU-2025-PI-ALL-INNO

Project Summary:
The DigiHeritage project, funded under the Erasmus+ Programme, aims to address the lack of digital skills in the European cultural heritage sector by creating a new professional profile – the DigiHeritage Manager – experts qualified in the use of artificial intelligence and digital technologies.

The project will develop innovative curricula to modernize education and training in the cultural heritage field, targeting higher education and vocational education and training (VET). The programmes will be aligned with the EQF, ESCO, and the EU micro-credentials framework.

The involvement of external stakeholders is of key importance within the project. Local stakeholders from Bulgaria — including educational institutions, small and medium-sized enterprises, chambers of commerce, and public authorities — together with stakeholders from other European countries (Greece, Italy, Spain, Belgium, Germany, and the Netherlands) will play a supporting role in:

  • Conducting research on the needs for improving digital skills in the cultural heritage sector.
  • Developing curricula and validating learning outcomes together with European partners.
  • Piloting training programmes and upskilling activities.

In addition, local stakeholders will be invited to participate in a Knowledge Camp in Sofia in 2027, as well as to contribute expert input to discussions aimed at improving policies and promoting skills development at a horizontal level.
